The mission of the Young Friends of CCVI is to create awareness, provide volunteers, and conduct fundraising events to benefit the children of CCVI, while providing its members an opportunity for personal development and lasting relationships.
The Young Friends is a group of individuals under age 36 that provides and generates community support for CCVI through awareness, education, fundraising and social activities.
Activities and Fundraising
YCCVI board meetings are held monthly. YCCVI activities have included an annual Royals Night Out for CCVI families, Halloween Happy Hour to make trick-or-treat bags for CCVI students, North Kansas City Snake Saturday Parade and Parents' Night Out.
Past annual fundraising activities have included pie making at HyVee, Trolley Run Kids' Run and the Hank Stram Charity Golf Tournament.

Did you know…
The Young Friends of CCVI was formed in February, 1998 by CCVI's Board of Directors with guidance from the Bacchus Foundation. Since that time, its members have elected a Board of Directors, formed committees, drafted by-laws and raised funds for CCVI.
