Become a Fundraiser

The Trolley Run is the largest annual fundraiser event for Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired. As one of only seven schools in the country that serves children birth to school age who are blind or visually impaired, our presence in Kansas City makes a difference. After a diagnosis, caregivers are often told what their child will not be able to do, while CCVI shows them what their child can do. Since 1952, CCVI has provided a comprehensive program to 10,000+ students including specialized instruction, individualized therapy, and family education while fostering community awareness.

The average cost to educate a child at CCVI is $40,000 and all of our families receive financial assistance. When you choose to be a CCVI Trolley Run fundraiser, you make exceptional learning experiences possible for children with vision impairments. The education and services CCVI provides equips students and their families for elementary school and the world beyond.
